The engineering company Eltronic A/S acquired the business unit Site Solutions from AH Industries as of 1 December 2017. Site Solutions is the non-core business of AH Industries for the production of handling and lifting equipment for the wind turbine components.

Eltronic is strengthening its position in the market for lifting and transportation equipment in the wind industry with the acquisition of the business Unit Site Solutions of AH Industries. Eltronic Wind Solutions places itself as a leading contractor of equipment for the global wind turbine industry by combining the competences and expertise of the two companies. The reorganization means that Eltronic covers the entire value chain from development over installation to service onsite, onshore and offshore. After the merger, Eltronic Wind Solutions’ range of products cover specialized equipment for lifting, transportation and service for manufacturers of wind turbines, wind farm owners and Jack up vessel operators.

‘We are very pleased that we to an even greater extend will be able to meet the future demands of our customers in the wind industry. We look forward to uniting and developing Eltronic and Site Solutions products and solutions and to discover the many potentials of a combined platform. We focus on creating standard solutions covering our customer’s value chain’ says Lars Jensen, President in Eltronic A/S.

The business Unit Site Solutions is merged with the division Eltronic Wind Solutions. The merged unit will be based at Eltronic’s headquarters in Hedensted, where Eltronic Wind Solutions has a development environment as well as assembly and test facilities. The transfer of Site Solutions to Eltronic is a step in AH Industries’ strategy to strengthen its core competencies in machining.

‘In Eltronic we have found the right match for Site Solutions. The new organization provides a strong foundation for specialized equipment for the wind industry. Site Solutions and Eltronic Wind Solutions share both competencies and project approach making the merger an advantage for both customers and employees’ says Lothar Schaefer, CEO in AH Industries.

Eltronic Group will after the acquisition employ approximately 350 engineers and technicians working with development and service of equipment for the wind, marine and manufacturing industries.
